IG Markets

Connect IG Markets to MyLinedChart with your own credentials, chart it, mark it up, and export your analysis as XLSX, CSV or JSON.

• Connect IG Markets with your own credentials. You provide a key, cst and security token, and it is stored on your device rather than sent to us.
• Draw your levels, zones and notes on IG Markets data, and they stay attached to the chart with their real dates and prices.
• Export the whole chart as XLSX, CSV or JSON, with drawings, notes, indicator values and bars carried out together.
• Hand the live IG Markets chart to an AI agent you already use, including Claude, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot in VS Code.

Set up IG Markets

You need an IG account. A demo key also needs a demo account under the same email as your live account.

Cost: IG charges no API fee as long as you stay within the default limits.

1. Log in to the IG web platform with your live details.
2. For a demo key, switch to your demo account with the account switcher.
3. Go to My Account, Settings, API Keys, enter a key name and click GENERATE NEW KEY.
4. Copy the API key.
5. In MyLinedChart, open Data Providers, choose IG Markets, set Account type to Demo or Live, paste the API key, enter your IG username and IG password and click Connect.

How long it lasts: The API key does not expire. The app signs in for you and renews the session when it runs out.
