Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We collect the minimum we need to run the service: your email if you give it to us, payment details processed by our payment provider (we never see or store full card numbers), and basic usage analytics. The desktop app is local-first: your Interactive Brokers connection, market data, and chart drawings stay on your own machine and are not sent to our servers unless you explicitly use an optional sync feature. We do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

• Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a form (consulting, support, contact), or create an account.
• Account information — if you purchase, an account is created with your email and subscription status. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation and subscription status, not your full card details.
• Usage and device data — standard analytics such as pages viewed, referring source, approximate region, browser/device type, collected to understand and improve the site.
• Information you put into the desktop app — chart drawings, notes, indicators, and your IBKR market data live locally on your device. They are transmitted to us only if you choose to use an optional cloud feature that says so at the time.

How We Use Information

To provide and maintain the service; to send you email you have opted into and transactional messages (purchase confirmations, account and support replies); to process payments; to secure the service and prevent abuse; to understand usage and improve the product; and to comply with legal obligations.

Email You Receive

• Transactional emails (receipts, account, support) relate to your use of the service.
• Marketing/newsletter emails are sent only if you opt in, and every one includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time; we act on it promptly.

Service Providers We Use

We share data only with providers that help us operate, under their own terms: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (database/auth), Vercel (hosting), and our website analytics provider. We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies and privacy-conscious analytics to run and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal/accounting obligations, or until you ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep).

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. International Transfers

We operate globally and may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States, using appropriate safeguards where required.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
