Questrade

Connect Questrade to MyLinedChart with your own credentials, chart it, mark it up, and export your analysis as XLSX, CSV or JSON.

• Connect Questrade with your own credentials. You provide a refresh token, and it is stored on your device rather than sent to us.
• Draw your levels, zones and notes on Questrade data, and they stay attached to the chart with their real dates and prices.
• Export the whole chart as XLSX, CSV or JSON, with drawings, notes, indicator values and bars carried out together.
• Hand the live Questrade chart to an AI agent you already use, including Claude, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot in VS Code.

Set up Questrade

You need a Questrade brokerage account.

Cost: Questrade lists no API fee. Real-time quotes need a Questrade data package.

1. Log in to Questrade, click your login name at the top right and choose API centre.
2. Click Activate API, read the agreement and click Agree.
3. Click Register a personal app, enter a name and description and click Save.
4. Click New manual authorization, then Generate new token for manual authorization.
5. Click Copy token, then Close.
6. In MyLinedChart, open Data Providers, choose Questrade, paste the Questrade refresh token and click Connect.

How long it lasts: The refresh token lasts 3 days and works only once. The app swaps it for a new one each time, but if you do not open the app for 3 days, generate a new token and paste it in.

Good to know

• Up to 2,000 candles per request.
• 20 data requests per second and 15,000 per hour.
