Composer by SoFi

Connect Composer by SoFi to MyLinedChart with your own key ID and secret, and see your positions as lines on top of whichever chart data provider you already use. Composer by SoFi has no price history of its own.

• Connect Composer by SoFi with your own credentials. You provide a key id and secret, and it is stored on your device rather than sent to us.
• Your Composer by SoFi holdings draw as lines (or a "Held" label, where there is no cost basis to draw a line at) on top of whatever symbol you already have charted.
• Prices, candles and everything else about the chart still come from your regular chart data provider. Composer by SoFi supplies positions only.
• Read only. MyLinedChart never places, modifies or cancels an order through Composer by SoFi, or through any provider.

Set up Composer by SoFi

You need a Composer account on the Pro plan.

Cost: The API has no separate fee, but it needs the Composer Pro plan.

1. Log in at app.composer.trade.
2. Open Settings, then the API Access tab.
3. Click Generate New API Key.
4. Copy the Key ID and the Secret. The secret is shown only once.
5. In MyLinedChart, open Data Providers, choose Composer by SoFi, paste the API Key ID and API Key Secret and click Connect.

How long it lasts: Keys have no expiry. You can have only one active key, so generating a new one cancels the old one.

Good to know

• Composer shows your holdings only. It has no price history, so charts use another provider.
• The key has the same full access as your account. MyLinedChart only reads holdings with it.
• 25 requests per minute on most endpoints.
