Zerodha

Connect Zerodha to MyLinedChart with your own credentials, chart the data, mark the chart up, and export your analysis as XLSX, CSV or JSON.

• Connect Zerodha with your own credentials. You provide a key and session token, and the credentials stay on your device rather than being sent to us.
• Draw your levels, zones and notes on Zerodha data, and they stay attached to the chart with their dates and prices.
• Export the whole chart as XLSX, CSV or JSON, with drawings, notes, indicator values and bars carried out together.
• Hand the live Zerodha chart to an AI agent you already use, including Claude, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot in VS Code.

Set up Zerodha

You need an active Zerodha trading account with TOTP turned on, and a paid Kite Connect app.

Cost: Kite Connect costs Rs 500 per month per API key and includes historical data. The free Personal plan has no market data, so it cannot draw charts.

1. Sign up at developers.kite.trade/signup and choose the Connect plan.
2. Open My Apps, click Create New App and enter an app name, your Zerodha Client ID and a Redirect URL such as http://127.0.0.1:8000.
3. Copy the API Key and API Secret.
4. Open kite.zerodha.com/connect/login?v=3&api_key=<your API key>, log in and copy the request_token from the address you land on.
5. Exchange the request_token for an access token through the Kite session/token call, using your API key and secret.
6. In MyLinedChart, open Data Providers, choose Zerodha Kite, paste the Kite API key and Access token and click Connect.

How long the access lasts: The access token ends at 6 AM IST the next day, or earlier if you log out of Kite. Log in again each day and paste the new Access token.

Good to know

• 3 historical requests per second.
• Intervals go from 1 minute to 1 day. Kite has no weekly or monthly bars.
• Each request covers at most 60 days of 1 minute bars, 100 days of 3 to 10 minute bars, 200 days of 15 and 30 minute bars, 400 days of hourly bars and 2000 days of daily bars.
