Bring Your Pine Scripts With You

Your TradingView Pine Script indicators can come with you to MyLinedChart. Import a .pine file, have your AI explain it, tune it or write a new one, and export any MyLinedChart indicator back to Pine. Here is what converts, what does not, and how the AI part works.

A Pine Script you have tuned for years is hard to leave behind. MyLinedChart reads .pine files, turns the parts it understands into its own formula indicators, and can export any formula indicator back out as Pine. Your AI can sit in the middle: it can explain a script, change a setting, or write a new indicator from a sentence.

Import a Script

Open the Formula panel and choose Import, then pick the .pine file. The conversion runs inside the app. The new indicator takes the name from the script's indicator() title, and the script's overlay setting decides whether it sits on the price chart or in its own pane.

The full list of what converts is in the import guide: Import a TradingView Pine Script

Let Your AI Work on It

Once the indicator is on the chart, ask your AI about it. Ask what the script does in plain words, change a length from 20 to 34 and compare, or describe a new idea, such as an RSI that only counts when price is above the 200 day average, and let the AI write it as a formula indicator.

You can use the AI built into your device, Claude, Gemini or OpenAI from your own account, or an AI app you already use such as Claude Desktop, Codex or Cursor through the direct connection. Every change shows up on the chart, where you can keep it or delete it.

Take It Back to TradingView

Any formula indicator, including one your AI wrote, exports as a Pine Script file. Paste it into the Pine Editor in TradingView and it runs there too. The export guide is here: Export Your Indicator as Pine Script

What Stays Out

Pine strategies can place simulated orders with strategy.entry and strategy.exit. MyLinedChart does not convert that part, because it never places orders, real or simulated. The signal logic underneath usually converts fine, so you still see where the strategy would act.

Loops, arrays, matrices and user-defined functions are listed by line number on import, so you know exactly which lines need another approach.

FAQ

Do I need a TradingView account to import?

No. You need the .pine file. The imported indicator runs in MyLinedChart on your own chart data.

Can the AI turn my script into a trading bot?

MyLinedChart does not place trades and does not run bots. Your AI can write and improve the indicator, and you can export it as Pine.

Which AI can I use?

The AI built into your device, Claude, Gemini or OpenAI from your own account, or an AI app such as Claude Desktop, Codex or Cursor through the direct connection.
