What MyLinedChart Is

MyLinedChart is a charting app for Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android that charts data from your own account. You connect the broker or market-data provider you already pay for, with your own keys, which stay on your device. It has 10 chart types, built-in and formula indicators, split screens, watchlists, a screener and alerts.

Two things set it apart. First, everything you mark up is data: drawings, levels, zones, notes and indicator values export together as CSV, JSON or Excel. Second, it has no AI of its own. Your AI agent connects directly to the chart with nine tools, or in the desktop app you add your own Claude, OpenAI or Gemini key. MyLinedChart is read-only and does not place trades.

Whose AI Is It?

ChartingLens runs its own models: a free model for everyone and a premium model with live web search, metered in daily AI credits. That is convenient if you do not already pay for an AI, and it means the assistant knows ChartingLens's features well.

MyLinedChart assumes you already have an AI you like. Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Gemini connect directly and can read the chart, the drawings and the indicator values, then propose changes that are labelled as AI and can be undone. Your conversation stays in your own AI app, and you can use the same assistant for your spreadsheets, code and journal. Data, Storage and Export

ChartingLens keeps your work in its cloud, which is why a drawing on your desktop shows up on your phone within a second, and why its alerts keep firing with your browser closed. Those are genuine advantages. MyLinedChart runs on your device, so its alerts watch while the app is running.

Export is where they differ most. We could not find an export of drawings, levels or notes as data on ChartingLens's pricing or features pages. In MyLinedChart, exporting every chart with its drawings, notes, bars and indicators into one file is a core feature, so your analysis can go into Excel, a journal or your own AI's backtest.

Which to Choose

Choose ChartingLens if you want one subscription that includes the data and the AI, if AI backtesting or hedge fund and politician tracking matter to you, or if you want to start free.

Choose MyLinedChart if you already have a broker or data account, want to use your own AI rather than learn a new one, and want your markups as data you can export and keep. Many traders will use a platform like ChartingLens for discovery and MyLinedChart for the charts they trade from.

Is ChartingLens cheaper than MyLinedChart?

At the entry level, yes. ChartingLens has a free plan and Premium at $14.99 a month; MyLinedChart is $24.99 a month after a 7-day free trial, and ChartingLens Pro is $29.99. ChartingLens includes market data, while MyLinedChart uses the broker or data account you already have.

Can I use my own AI with ChartingLens?

Not according to its pricing and features pages, checked 14 September 2026. ChartingLens runs its own AI models, metered in daily credits by plan. MyLinedChart has no built-in model and connects to the AI you already use.

Does ChartingLens export drawings?

We could not find a drawing or annotation export on ChartingLens's pricing or features pages; its drawings sync across devices in its cloud. MyLinedChart exports drawings, levels, notes and indicator values as CSV, JSON or Excel.

Does MyLinedChart have AI backtesting like ChartingLens?

Not built in. MyLinedChart exports your chart data so your own AI or script can backtest it, as far back as your data goes. ChartingLens's AI backtester runs inside its platform.
