Crypto Charts With No API Key: Binance, Coinbase, Kraken
Five crypto venues need nothing from you. No account, no API key, no signup. Pick the exchange, pick the pair, and the chart loads.
Most charting tools want an API key before they will show you anything, which means creating an account somewhere, finding the developer settings, generating a key, deciding which permissions to grant it, and pasting it into software you have not decided to trust yet. For five crypto venues, none of that applies. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX and Bybit publish their market data openly, so MyLinedChart reads it directly and you provide nothing.
The Five That Need Nothing
These venues publish market data openly, so there is no credential to create and nothing to paste. Pick the exchange, pick the pair, and the chart loads.
| Venue | What you provide | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Binance | Nothing | Spot and derivatives pairs |
| Coinbase | Nothing | Spot pairs |
| Kraken | Nothing | Spot and derivatives pairs |
| OKX | Nothing | Spot and derivatives pairs |
| Bybit | Nothing | Spot and derivatives pairs |
Why an API Key Is Usually Required, and Why Not Here
An API key exists so a venue knows who is asking. It is required when the request is about your account: your balance, your orders, your positions. It is also how a venue meters you and, for paid data, how it bills you.
Chart data from these five is none of those things. It is public market data that the venue serves openly, so there is nobody to identify and nothing to meter against your name.
That is also why the rest of the list still needs a credential. Interactive Brokers, Schwab, Alpaca, Zerodha and the market-data vendors are either serving you account-scoped data or selling the feed. Neither is free to hand out.
You Get the Whole Toolkit, Not a Preview
This is not a demo mode or a teaser. A chart on Binance data has the same drawing tools, the same indicators and the same export as a chart on any paid provider.
- Trend lines, rays, zones, Fibonacci, shapes and text notes, all keeping their real dates and prices.
- The full built-in indicator library, plus custom formula indicators you describe in plain language.
- Export the chart as XLSX, CSV or JSON with drawings, notes, indicator values and bars together.
- Split the workspace across several charts, each with its own symbol and timeframe.
- Hand the live chart to an AI agent you already use, including Claude, Codex, Cursor or GitHub Copilot in VS Code.
What Public Data Does Not Include
Worth being straight about the limits, because they follow directly from there being no credential.
Without a key the venue cannot know who you are, so nothing account-specific is available: no balances, no open positions, no order history, no fills. If you want your own trades marked on the chart, that needs a connected account, which means a credential.
MyLinedChart is read only regardless. It never places, modifies or cancels an order on any provider, connected or not.
Where This Leaves the Other Providers
The full list runs to 28, and what each one asks for varies more than people expect. Some want an API key, some a key and secret, some an access token, some a session token, and Interactive Brokers wants OAuth files or software running on your machine.

Next Step
Open the app, choose Binance or Coinbase, and draw on a pair you follow. There is nothing to sign up for first, so the fastest way to find out whether the tool suits you is to use it.

FAQ
Do I really not need an account with the exchange?
Correct. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX and Bybit publish market data openly, so there is no account to create and no key to generate. You choose the venue in the app and the chart loads.
Is the crypto charting limited compared to paid providers?
No. Same drawing tools, same indicator library, same custom formula indicators, same export to XLSX, CSV and JSON, same AI connection. The data source differs; the toolkit does not.
Can I see my own trades or balance on these?
Not from public data. The venue has no way to know who is asking, so nothing account-specific is available. That needs a connected account with a credential, which several other supported providers offer.
Why do the other providers need a key then?
Because they are either serving data scoped to your account or selling the feed. A key is how the venue knows who is asking and, where relevant, who to bill. Public crypto market data is neither.
Does a plan still apply if I only chart crypto?
You can create an account and use the full interface on sample data for free for as long as you like. A plan unlocks charting live data from a connected provider, and starts with a free trial.
